The Revelation to St. John Chapter 5 of 22

THE REVELATION TO  ST. JOHN

CHAPTER

5

¹ Then I saw in the right hand of the one seated on the throne a scroll written on the inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals; ² and I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?"

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verses 1 to 2)

Oh God my Father, You are the only one who is worthy of breaking the seals, for all is under Your control, and You are the author of my life Amen.

³ And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it.

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verse 3)

Oh God my Father, You are the one and only. Only You are able to fathom the destiny of the World. You have the last say in what is ever to take place both in heaven and on earth Amen.

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verse 3)

Oh God, my Father, there is none like You in the heavens or on earth. You are supreme and nobody can ever match You in love power or majesty Amen.

Let us all give praise and worship to God our Father Amen.

⁴ And I began to weep bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it.

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verse 4)

Oh God, You turn our tears of bitterness into tears of joy and well-being. I thank You for intervening in my life and into that of others and for bringing upon us a positive attitude and change Amen.

⁵ Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. See the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals."

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verse 5)

Oh, brothers and sisters, we have no need to fear, or feel sad and cry, for God is our victor in all our life circumstances and tribulations. In God, we place our trust Amen.

⁶ Then I saw between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders a Lamb standing as if it had been slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verse 6)

Oh God my beloved Father I can rest assured that while I am on earth I am always under Your watchful eye, for You are everywhere and at all times. This makes me feel safe that wherever I go I am always in Your presence Amen.

⁷ He went and took the scroll from the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne.

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verse 7)

Oh Jesus Son of God and also God, You are the only person who can open the scroll. You have full authority over both heaven and earth and even over the state of hell. Blessed be Your name forever and ever Amen.

⁸ When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell before the lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verse 8)

Oh God, my Father, when the priest who is Your representative takes the book of Scripture to read during Mass, we all fall down in awe at Your name in order to receive from the food of Your Word. Amen. The incense used represents our prayers, that are never lost or considered as being a waste of time since they appear before You Amen.

⁹ They sing a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slaughtered and by your blood you ransomed for God saints from every tribe and language and people and nations; ¹⁰ you have made them to be a kingdom and priests serving our God and they will reign on earth."

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verses 9 to 10)

Oh God my Father what greater achievement can be prayed and praised than Your blessed and mighty passion by which You have saved our souls and that of the world. Even if the angels sing it every day it is still a new song pleasant to Your ears Amen.

¹¹.  Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels surrounding the throne and the living creatures and the elders; they numbered myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, ¹² singing with full voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slaughtered to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honour and glory and blessing!"

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verses 11 to 12)

Oh God, brothers and sisters let us also join the angels in their singing of this song that is always new by clicking on the following link credited to us by mikay1231

¹³ Then I heard every creature in heaven and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them singing, "To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honour and glory and might forever and ever!" ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said "Amen!" And the elders fell down and worshipped.

(The Revelations to St. John Chapter 5 verses 13 to 14)

Amen oh God and Father, let us also join creation. We are a living testimony of Your greatness we who believe and trust in You proclaim Your name. The "Great Amen".

Oh God, my Father, I would like to end this meditation on the fifth chapter of the book of Revelations with the following prayer:-

Amen Oh God my Father, praise and worship be given to You alone, for You alone is our faith our hope our Salvation. Blessed be Your mighty name Amen!
